چکیده
In this work, zinc oxide powder with a rectangular-shaped porous architecture, made of numerous spherical nanometric particles, was obtained. A simple precipitation/decomposition procedure was used comprising a zinc oxalate intermediate, obtained from zinc sulfate and oxalic acid without any additives. Detailed studies on zinc oxalate dehydration, decomposition and zinc oxide formation, were carried out using in-situ temperature X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. During the investigation, the temperature dependence of particle sizes, lattice parameters and crystal structures of ZnC2O4·2H2O, ZnC2O4 and ZnO nanopowders were analyzed from room temperature to 450 °C. Structural transitions were also discussed. The structure and morphology of the as-prepared ZnO nanopowder were investigated by electron microscopy and compared to the crystalline rectangular shape of ZnC2O4·2H2O. The calcination temperature, counter ion and precipitate agent were found to be related to the product's shape and diameter. Spherical ZnO nanoparticles with diameters of less than 20 nm and a maximum specific surface of 53 m/g were obtained using this method.

2D Porous ZnO Nanosheets: One Pot Synthesis with Low Turn-on Field
Low turn-on field of 2.3 V/µm was found for the emission current density of 10 µA/cm2 from 2D porous ZnO nanosheets. High current density of 0.76 mA/cm2 was drawn at an applied field of 4.1 V/µm. The observed low turn-on field of porous ZnO nanosheets has been found to be superior to the other ZnO nanostructures reported in the literature. Also, the emission current stability over a period of 3...
متن کاملSynthesis and characterization of porous zinc oxide nano-flakes film in alkaline media
In this study, porous zinc oxide nano-flakes were successfully synthesized by anodization method on zinc substrate in a 0.025 M NaOH and 0.05 M NH4Cl solution with the voltage of 10 V at room temperature. The field emission scanning electron microscopy’s (FESEM) images show the structural evolution during 90 min of the anodization process. They also demonstrate the dependency of growth of ZnO f...
متن کاملEffect of Annealing Temperature on Structural, Electrical and Optical Properties of TiO2 Nanopowder
TiO2 nanopowder is prepared by simple sol-gel method using starting material as titanium isopropoxide with methanol and annealed at 600°C, 700°C and 800°C for 1 hour in air. X-ray diffraction pattern revealed the presence of both anatase and rutile phase in TiO2 specimens annealed at different temperatures. It is observed that the content of rutile phase and crystallite size increases with incr...

AbstractESW as a natural byproduct, although non-hazardous and contains calcium, magnesium carbonate and protein, is commonly disposed in landfills without any pretreatment because it was traditionally useless. In this regards, we wish to report the synthesis of a novel CaO/Ca2Fe2O5 nanocomposite based on ESW. At the first, eggshell (ES) nanopowder was prepared by ball-milling. Then, the ...

In this research, Ag/ZnO nanocomposites were prepared and characterized by transition electron microscopy (TEM), the energy dispersive X-ray spectrum (EDS) and X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD). These nanocomposites were used as catalysts for the oxidation of toluene to benzaldehyde and benzoic acid with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and tert-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) as oxidizing agent in the liquid...
